The history of Valentine's Day 


The ancient romans are responsible for the name of the modern day of  love.Emperor claudius the second executed two men named Valentine on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century . Their martyrdom was honored  in a Catholic Church with the celebration on st Valentine's Day .Now people around the world celebrate love on Feb.14 by telling the person that they like/love how they really feel about them(and hope they feel the same way about them ).some people might go on a date or something that shows their partner that they truly love them.( honestly i dont really know)

It is an American holiday celebrated on the third monday of February .Established in 1885 recognition  of President Gorge Washington it is still officially called"Washington's birthday"by the federal government   When is it? Monday February 19 What are several ways to show honor and respect on presidents day ? First of all you can honor all the previous presidents .And respect all the progress we have made in the u.s  because of them . Possibly  learn the history behind it or even teach it to other people .You can also have a moment of silence on this day.  How can you show honor and respect on presidents day ?
